Location
Can Tho Pedestrian bridge (so-called love bridge) is spanning 200 meters over the Khai Luong Canal. It overlooks Can Tho city’s Ninh Kieu Wharf, connects the mainland with Cai Khe Islet.
Structure
The pedestrian bridge was completed in 2016, and it quickly becomes the favourite place of locals and tourists, especially the youth. It is designed in the S shape, curves around the poetic river with a length of 200m and the width of 7.2m. Standing from the footbridge, you can see the various views of Can Tho, which makes a lot of people immersed.

In particular, couples take the opportunity of Valentine’s Day to profess their love by putting locks on its railings, a custom duplicated from Paris’ Pont des Arts. People in love fasten a lock on the bridge railing before throwing the key into the river below. However, the authorities decided to remove the locks for the aesthetic appeal of the bridge, safety for pedestrians. So if you get to this place, it has better to take pictures and go sightseeing and not hang any locks.
